Washington Redskin Cheerleaders
In professional NFL, the Washington Redskin Cheerleaders were second to the Pittsburgh Steelers. However the Washington Redskin Cheerleaders still remain to is one of the top and longest running professional NFL cheerleading organization.
The Washington Redskin Cheerleaders were originally known as the Redskinettes. Right from September30, 1962 the Redskinettes have cheered for the Washington Redskins. Initially, the Washington Redskin Cheerleaders performed in a na’ve theme outfit when they were not associated with the NFL cheerleading organization. However once they got themselves associated with the NFL the Washington Redskins Cheerleader changed their outfit to the NFL cheerleading organization.
The first director of the Washington Redskin Cheerleaders was a female named Doris Synder. Washington Redskin Cheerleaders have also performed all around the world apart from just being associated with the NFL. They were first brought to the NFL league in the year 1982 where the Washington Redskin Cheerleaders were the first ever cheerleading team to perform in Asia performing the United States commercial products all throughout Taiwan. Again in the year 1983, the Washington Redskin Cheerleaders brought out their new calendar and has been continuing to do the same since then. The very next year the Washington Redskin Cheerleaders were the first ever to perform a United Service Organization tout that not only entertained Turkey and Italy but also countries such as Sicily and Spain, not to mention the coast of France.
Washington Redskin Cheerleaders were also the first cheerleading team to form an alumni association for themselves. The alumni association is called The Washington Redskin Cheerleader Alumni Association (WRCAA) which was founded way back in the year 1984. The WRCAA was founded by cheerleader Terry Crane-Lamb. The WRCAA have a membership strength of over 200 members.
