Troy Aikman: A Successful Quarterback: Troy Aikman, a retired American football player, has played great during his 12-year career. He has been a quarterback all throughout his career, which made it possible for him to help his team achieve victories. Aikman has played for the Dallas Cowboys all throughout his football career. He debuted with the team on 1989, where he was the number 1 overall draft pick. Professional Information: Troy Aikman has received a lot of awards all throughout his career. He has also made his team win titles through his skills in playing football. Awards: Some of Aikman’s awards include Walter Payton Man of the Year in 1996, Dave O’Brien Award in 1989 and Consensus All-American in 1988. Aikman has also been awarded with various football accolades such as College Football Hall of Fame in 2008, Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006 and Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor. Aside from his awards, Aikman also holds various titles that he gathered during his 12-year career. He has won the Pro Bowl six times during the years 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996. He has also won the title in All-Pro Football three times in 1993, 1994 and 1995. Aside from that, he was also awarded as the MVP of the Super Bowl XXVII.

Career: Troy Aikman started leading his team to victories during his college years when he had led his team, Sooners, to victory over Minnesota. After that, Aikman has started leading the teams that he had joined before he started playing professional football for the Dallas Cowboys. He even earned the Pac-10 Pacific Player of the Year when he was still in junior football when he transferred to UCLA. Aikman has led his team, UCLA Bruins, to victory over two seasons after his transfer. He had also made a first for UCLA by receiving the Davey O’Brien Award as the best quarterback player in the nation when he was still playing for the Bruins. His professional career started when he was chosen as the number 1 overall pick of the Dallas Cowboys on February 25, 1989 during the NFL Draft. Since then, he had won the quarterback position and has led the team to success. Aikman was able to lead his team to a 6-4 record before he was injured and had to be replaced so that their team can win the tournament. Troy Aikman had passed for over 3,300 yards in the NFL competition while he made Dallas Cowboys number one in the tournament, having the best records several times during the NFL tournaments.
