Sacramento River Cats: A Minor League Pride

Sacramento River Cats: A Minor League Pride: Sacramento River Cats, founded in 1978, is a minor baseball team based in California. The team is a Triple-A baseball team and plays in the PCL or Pacific Coast League. The River Cats’ first ballpark was the Nat Bailey Stadium since its foundation until the year 1999. They then moved to the Raley Field in 2000. Old Name: The River Cats was originally called the Vancouver Canadians when it was established in 1978. They had played in the Nat Bailey Stadium from that time until the 1999 season when they have won the Triple-A Championship. In the same year, the Sacramento River Cats was bought and was moved to Sacramento, where they made the Raley Field as their new ballpark, by a company that was led by Art Savage so that they can represent the area for the 2000 season. That was the time when the team’s name was changed. 10,000 Fans per Game:

The River Cats had an average of 10,000 fans per game when they had played the 2007 season. This is the reason why the team was the one that led the minor league baseball 2007 season in terms of audience attendance. The team had a total of 710, 235 spectators all throughout the 2007 minor baseball league season. Titles and Awards: The Sacramento River Cats had won three class titles in 1999, 2000 and 2008. They had also took home seven league titles in 1985, 1989, 1999, 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2008.
The River Cats had also won a total of seven conference titles in 1999, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011.
