If you start with some simple exercises daily you will start to see improvement in your health in a few weeks. There are many simple exercises that you can do without the need of any extra equipment or weights. Before you start to do any exercise you should start out by doing some streches to get you body loose. Nothing is worse than pulling a muscle or cramping up while you are execising. It is also a good idea to keep plenty of water on hand. Some simple stretches to start with are standing toe touches to loosen up you legs.
Make sure you stretch all your major limbs. If you do not have a lot of space to work with you could start off by doing some jumping jacks to get your heart rate up and to help loosen up. Push ups are some of the best exercise you can do to get fit. They increase strength in your arms, back and chest. If a flat stomach is your concern then you should make sure you plan to do situps, these are beneficial to your back and stomach. If you are looking to build up your endurance you can always go for a run or a light jog. If you get worn out quickly when running or jogging, switch it up to a power walk. If you make it a habit daily to go for a run, jog, or walk you will be able to increase your speed and distance as long as you continue to try.
It is key to make sure you have comfortable shoes to run in, you do not want to risk and injury running in old or uncomfortable shoes. If you want to add some effort to your daily run you can get some light dumbbells to carry in your hands. Ankle weights are not recommend when running because the is a high risk for injury if you make a misstep. If you are walking a track or level area then ankle weights may provide you some benefits, although you should still take precaustions. These are only a few ideas to get you started in your campaign to get fit. As you build strength and endurance there are plenty of variations and additions you can add to your workout to continue to make progress.
