George Bell: American League All-Star

George Bell (1981 – 1990): He was an American League All-Star in 1987 and 1990 as part of the team. He also achieved the Silver Slugger Award three times from 1985 to 1987. With his outstanding performance in the American League, he was awarded with the Toronto Blue Jays Level of Excellence.

Notable Accomplishments: Under new management, the team got a couple more American League East titles in 1989 and 1990. On the other hand, both Championship Series attempts failed against the Milwaukee Brewers (5-3) and Oakland Athletics (4-1). The Toronto Blue Jays have won the AL East Championships five times, in the years 1985, 1989, 1991, 1992, and 1993. They also won the American League Championships and World Series Championships in the years 1992 and 1993. The Rookie of the Year awardees of the team are Eric Hinske and Alfredo Griffin. For the Edgar Martinez Award, the team’s recipients are Adam Lind, Paul Molitor, and Dave Winfield. The Cy Young Awardees of the team are Roy Halladay, Roger Clemens, and Pat Hentgen.
