Darren Collison was born on the twenty third of August in the year 1987.He is now a professional Basketball player for the Indiana Pacers. Darren Collisons parents June and Dennis were both athletes of great respect in Guyana. In the 2009 NBA Draft by the New Orleans, he was drafted 21st overall.

Darren collision is a right handed player and was considered to be one of the best point guard prospects coming out of UCLA. He was also awarded the Most Valuable Player of the 2006 Maui Invitational Tournament.

Darren Collison as a teenager was a fan of University of Arizona but was unfortunately not recruited by them. He then chose UCLA and served as a back-up to Farmar in the 2005-2006 season. He then became the starting point guard in the following season.

In the next season, Darren Collisons average steals was 2.2 per game. This was the highest in the Pacific 10 Conference. Also, his three-point shooting percentage was 44.7%.

Darren Collison declared himself eligible for 2009 NBA Draft and was then selected by the New Orleans Hornets, 21st overall. When Chris Paul got out for months during the 2009-10 season, it was Darren Collison who got the position of the starting point guard and what followed was a record breaking and breathtaking performance by the youngster.
