Curtis Strange – Part of the Greatest Ever College Team
Curtis Strange is a professional golfer hailing from the United States of America and is a member of Golfs Hall of Fame as well as the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. He has spent almost 200 weeks in cumulative time in the Top Ten of golf.
Curtis Strange has had 28 wins in his professional career, among which are 17 titles on the PGA Tour, including two Major Championships as well as a title from the Japan Golf Tour. The only Major title that Strange has won is the US Open in 1988 and 1989. When a golfer is over 50 years old, he becomes eligible to play in the Champions Tour and when Strange began playing on the tour, he remarked that he was not getting any good but also said that he would continue in any case.
Strange has also had 5 wins as an amateur golfer. The Wake Forest University team with which he won the NCAA Championship that had Bob Byman and Jay Haas was voted by Golf World as the greatest college team of all time. Curtis Strange is a golfer of note and although he hasnt won many Majors, he is still regarded as a great.
