Bowling Green Hot Rods
Bowling Green Hot Rods is a basketball team that is classified to minor league. The team hails from Bowling Green in Kentucky. They play for the Midwest League where they have an affiliation of Class A. It was in 2009 that the Bowling Green Hot Rods played at the Ballpark of Bowling Green. They replaced the team of Columbus Catfish. At first, the team was known as Wilmington Waves.
The team took the nickname of Hot Rods when they moved themselves to the place called Bowling Green in 2008. Before that, they were an expansion team of the League of South Atlantic.
Bowling Green Hot Rods, known as the Waves back then, played with South Georgia when they were moving to the Sports Complex of Paul Eames during the season in 2002 at Albany in Georgia. Bowling Green Hot Rods moved themselves to the Golden Park that is on Columbus with under the name of Waves before the campaign of 2003. The team moved themselves to the League in Midwest from the League of South Atlantic along with Lake County Captains in the year of 2010. Bowling Green Hot Rods has a wide recognition when it comes to creativity and efforts to make fun promotional activities.
