Bowie Baysox

A basket team that is classified to minor league. The team is from Bowie in Maryland. The team is affiliated to class-AA under Baltimore Orioles. Bowie Baysox plays within eastern league. The home ballpark of the team is at the stadium of Prince George. Currently, Bowie Baysox is managed by Mr. Brad Komminsk. The broadcasting of the games are done at WRGW which is a radio station that broadcasts online and gets its production from the university of George Washington . Bowie Baysox, in the earlier years, had faced some difficulties regarding their stadium.

In 1993, the team had to find another stadium to play the home games. However, the team cracked the deal and got the Memorial Stadium of Baltimore to their name. On the 16th day of June, Bowie Baysox found their final and permanent stadium. In 1997, the team made its place in the playoffs after two seasons of disappointment. Louie is the name of their mascot who was introduced by the team in 1997.

The mascot was furry and had hair that was pink in color. Bowie Baysox could not post a single record of winning for six continuous seasons. They were held in contention for participating in the [layoff spot in the last position by the seasons end but they were defeated by Altoona in four games. They missed the postseason again. In 2008, they had their first win in championship of first division.
