The Boston Patriots are an American Football team based in Greater Boston, the home ground of the team is the Gillette Stadium in the town of Foxborough in Massachusetts. The team plays in the East Division of the American Football Conference or the AFC. The name Boston Patriots for the team was changed in 1971.

The name was changed to New England Patriots and the team is now commonly known as the Pats. Originally the Boston Patriots team was a part of the American Football league or the AFL but later when the National Football League or the NFL merged with the American Football League or the AFL then the team switched over to the NFL and has been playing in the NFL since 1970. The Boston Patriots have a very good side presently consisting of many big budget players.

The club recently signed many new players as the budget was increased for the season thanks to a lot of sponsors pouring in. The Boston Patriots team is currently owned by Robert Kraft. Boston Patriots is being coached by Bill Belichick and the coach has done a terrific job with the fitness of the players which is evident by the fact that there have been no major injury issues with the team.
