The Bluefield Blue Jays are a baseball team that plays in the minor league category in the East division. They are affiliated to the Appalachian League and they play under their senior team that is the Toronto Blue Jays.

The club has grown as a team and has become quite a formidable side in the east Division. One major advantage is that the club is owned by the club itself and no one interferes with the functioning of the team and the player selection, this enables the most talented baseball players to get a place in the side and there is no scope of personal preference. The Bluefield Blue Jays team is currently being managed by Dennis Holmberg.

The Bluefield Blue Jays plays its home matches in the Bowen field ballpark which I an exceptional facility will latest equipments for the proper training of the players. The team has had many affiliations with other clubs in the past. The Bluefield Blue Jays first played with the Bluefield blue Grays and later on with the Boston Braves, then the team had the team Boston Red Sox as its affiliate in the 1954 and 1944 season. From 2011 the Bluefield Blue Jays is with the Toronto Blue Jays.
